I don't know how many homeless people they have in Greenland, but they paid a bunch of them to just like watch this speech from Donald Trump Jr.

This was to kickstart the move to buy Greenland or take it over.

To be clear, Trump has not ruled out military tactics or conflicts in order to require Greenland.

I mean, he's just said he hasn't ruled it out.

That doesn't mean that's going to come to that.

But he is also maybe more serious about economic penalties or means towards acquiring Greenland.

But this started in 2019.

It's one of these things that it seems just like it's a crazy idea that he has,

like nuking the tornado or something or the hurricane.

But it came from Joe Lonsdale, who's co-founded Palantir is a billionaire and met with Trump in 2019 and

basically introduced the idea to him. And then Trump started talking about it in 2019.

And then he just got, you know, it got laughed off. but he just by virtue of talking about it and talking about it, he's starting it again. And now it's, I don't know what the odds are on it actually happening, but it feels like it kind of could. And there's a lot of reasons for this.

As Federman writes, in recent years,

both Democratic and Republican administrations

have cast Greenland as a central point

when it comes to U.S. security in the Arctic.
