If you noticed, like we talked about in our last episode that one of the key parts of enjoying

this show is just kind of the vibe.

And a huge part of that is the music, all done by the pillows.

And I kind of wanted to look into

how exactly that was decided upon, because the pillows have been around for a really long time.

And it turned out that the man who created the show, Kasia Suramaki, didn't want to hire

like a composer, because it made him really uncomfortable to direct music because he doesn't

know the first thing about music.

So instead, before anything was animated, before they came up with any kind of boarding

process or anything, he went to the pillows and just asked for the rights to their back

catalog.

And then he took those sounds and music and used that to create the storyboard.

So the music came first, which does make a lot of sense when you look at this show.

Yeah, it's almost kind of edited like a music video. It's so, it's so good. These three episodes are fucking so fun. And it's also great to watch a show that isn't 50 million episodes long. Yeah, it's nice. And like, he was asking, well, what would have happened if the pillow said no? He's like, oh, I probably wouldn't have made the show. And we also get a lot of different animation changes. Like, if you notice, like, episode four, five, and six, I'll look a little different. Especially episode five, which is pure slapstick comedy for some reason. And the animation, the, everything is different. And the reason for that as as Sera Maki, had different animators on every single

episode. And during the storyboarding

process, he let them just

kind of do whatever they wanted.

To the point, it caused pretty serious production
