Yeah, so if we should probably explain the premise of the movie, it is starring Ryan Gosling as a teacher, junior high school history teacher in Brooklyn in Gowanus, Brooklyn, who is also addicted to cocaine.

And crucially, he is teaching his children about his students, about dialectics, which also at 15, when I first saw this again, first exposure to the word dialectics.

And I don't know if I fully comprehended it for a good few more years, but it really did make an impression on me politically and this movie just artistically.

And also, I will confess, the way he dressed.

I did not pay attention to my own style before seeing this movie for better or worse.

It influenced the way I dressed as a teenager.

And I will say, me watching where I started wearing a scorpion jacket for several years

okay but did you really though no i didn't okay but i thought maybe because he is one of those guys

who's like has a look you know and you're like oh he looks so cool and then it's like yeah but the thing

is that could be me that could be me if i had just had this jacket, I would look as cool.

Like I could, if, like, because when he walks in sloppy, I put this up on Twitter this

morning, but like when he walks in, like so fucking strung out with his tie around his neck

and he's wearing sunglasses, he still looks so fucking cool.

That's why. Here's the thing. This is why this is this film, this will be my last thing at all. Let you just go off, Andrews. I just got to say this. This is the only movie I've seen

Ryan Gosling in where he is not cut like a brick house. you know? Like, even in the notebook, I think he has some muscles.

And I don't know what he did to get here, but he Andersifies his body to become

crack addicted Anders in a way that really transforms the whole movie.

What does that mean?

He's just, he's got an everyday body and he could be Anders, I'm saying.
