of the Lottetetas where Bo and I will be discussing part two of our Henry the third,

I think in a very small series, the rebellion of Simon de Montfort about against Henry,

so I mean where did we leave off last time?

Okay, Henry III had a very long reign because it began as a small boy, a nine-year-old,

he lived to be into his 50s.

But he had made himself very unpopular over the years, primarily by just having

foreign favorites, people from France really that he gave all sorts of high honors to and the English

baronage didn't take kindly to that anyway it comes to a head for various reasons

which we detailed in the last one for for all sorts of reasons, multiple layers of

discontent with his role. It all comes to a head when one of his magnates, who was his

friend to begin with in his inner circle, Simon de Montfort, the younger, in the end leads a

rebellion against him.

And this story is all wrapped up with really our first parliaments, true parliaments. So should we just kick off with it?

of our parliamentary system.
