Hello and welcome to this week's epochs which will be a solo effort by me

where I'm going to be talking all about the road to Pearl Harbor when I

realized that I knew I was going to be doing a solo effort with a sort of a one-off

subject I was in two mineswether to do the Battle of Jutland which I will do I promise

I will do at some point but the out of the two, I have the Battle of

Jackland or the Road to Pearl Harbor and I decided to do this one.

It's something I've been interested in for quite a long while, for the last two years or so I've been reading heavily

all about the war in the Pacific. I plan to for my own channel History Bro. Do check that out on

I'm going to do a series, I've been promising to for a couple of years now,

all about the war in the Pacific.

But obviously it's such a massive topic. You have to sort of pick and choose.

You can't do it all, even with many, many, many hours at your disposal.

So when I do get finally, get round to that on History Bro, it's going to be based heavily around the figure of Tojo, Kedeki Tojo, the Razor, who was the Prime Minister, Japanese Prime Minister during the war up until

1944 I think eventually was booted out. Anyway in my readings all around the topic, I've basically gone back and sort of delved into all of Japanese history, essentially.

And one of the topics, one of the areas, one of the themes I found most fascinating is the run

up to Pearl Harbor. Everyone knows, everyone probably should know. I know my audience of epochs are very knowledgeable.

We all know that on December 7th, 1941, a date which will live in infamy,

as FDR said, we all know that that was obviously one of the great

turning points of world history, certainly of World War II history, is a great, in a bad way, a great moment in time.
