Hello and welcome to Brokonomics now in this episode I wanted to talk about how I think that we are getting really close to one of the big moments of change

and I've talked in this series about what has been happening, why things have gone wrong, how things work.

And I've alluded to how I think things are going to come up against one of those sort of big shift moments.

You know, 2008 was obviously a major one, but you've got a bunch of others the 2000 crisis the 1998 Asian

financial crisis a lot of these things come along another significant one of course

would be the 2020 big surge that was

always in that massive inflation wave and we're still dealing with the

consequences of it now. So I've alluded to all of these elements, but they're very difficult to predict, but I think I've got something here which can describe why things are potentially about to get very interesting and I'll explain how I see that

all playing out. And you guys you know my story on this I mentioned it before so just

before the pandemic I had sort of effectively retired. It was semi-retirement and I

was still doing a bit of consultancy stuff every now and again. And I've talked about how

2020 was was very sort of life changing for me because I could see that a lot of the COVID stuff simply didn't make sense.

I mean initially obviously it was a concern but then you

got the the princess cruise data and various other things and weird footage coming

out of Italy and China and this fear narrative being pushed really strong and it was like

okay something something is odd here and the other thing that really stuck out for

me was how early in that narrative cycle that the money printing got turned on and as we know it

is a vast, vast amount of money printing that got pushed out very early on and it was like

hmm okay what why is this happening and that money printing continued to continue for quite a while and the effects of that, you know, we've talked about in a number of episodes.

But essentially I was, my bullshit detectors are on full alert and I knew that there was a narrative

being pushed here.
