And this week we are doing part three, our unexpected part three of our coverage of the Daughters of Ash mod for the original Dark Souls, kind of an expansion, conversion and challenge mod created by community member named Grimruk. Yep. And yeah, we didn't intend to do this as three parts, but it's longer than we thought. Yeah. And the nice thing is this third bit, like I think most of those super cool stuff happens here. Yes. Yeah, so we're going to get right into it, just so this is not also like super long. Right. Where we last left off, we're doing the alternate route through the DLC, which, to be clear,

like I did not do.

I write about this, but I had fucked it up.

This is when you go and trade the whole pendant for the broken pendant and then go

and get sucked into the abyss from the water at a certain time before you're like meant to yes uh the hand that reaches out

and grabs you um kind of has the red glow on it this is like a like a black phantom version of

manis uh who reaches uh and instead of appearing uh in that little cave uh full of roots outside of

the uh the sanctuary guardian uh arena arena where you appear is at the

the first bonfire in the chasm of the abyss where you would normally have gotten to

like after you went after you got past the uh the changed prisoner and went down the elevator

um so already uh this is very different than we expected.

Yeah.

And you make your way down, you know, we get a while you down here, we can get the rhythm run.

Another one of these ruins.

But the main thing we're going down here to do is get to Manus, who we fight alongside with Artorius. Yeah. You know, which is pretty neat. Mm-hmm. You know, this, uh, changes the way that Arturius's story goes. Yes. Uh, in this. And again, in a way that I feel like is probably, like I liked the, we got credit for doing the thing Artorius feel to do more.

But this is still, you know, fun in terms of a twist.

This feels very fan service to me and I'm fine with that.
