I'm Matt Wilstein from The Daily Beast, and today I am so excited to share with you a little preview of next week's episode with Connor Roy himself, Alan Ruck.

Alan and I talked just a couple of days after the series finale of Succession,

and I began by asking him for his thoughts on how everything wrapped up

I actually did not watch it Sunday night because we had some stuff going on and just family stuff and it got to be late.

And it was like, I don't want to do that now.

So I woke up Monday morning and like at 8 o'clock in the morning, I watched the show.

And I was messed up all day.

Yeah, it was tough.

I mean, I just got the blues pretty hard.

I thought I thought that Jesse and all of our writers did a beautiful job of sewing everything up in a way that made perfect sense, you know, and honored sort of the spirit of the show.

There was no happy ending, I mean, except for Tom.
