I'm just always fascinated by these kind of movies.

I think because the culture war, you know, culture war stuff is so hot right now, I always want to

see how they negotiate it while trying to kind of remain as kind of ideologically and

culturally broad as possible.

And in that sense, you know, with this movie, I don't think I was disappointed.

I mean, I want to be clear that that's a separate

quote. My interest in these movies is completely independent of whether like I actually enjoy them

as movies. But as like fodder for this podcast, oh man, I've swallowed the mushroom and I'm ready to

go. So let's lay some of the culture war groundwork. Let's get the runway paved just so you can know kind of what the stakes are.

You know, there are times when I ask myself, am I wasting my life? And the answer is obviously no.

Well, I'll read the tweet. Charlie Kirk says,

twitter jack pose a i whatever you uh however you say his name kind of echoed that sentiment but he

added something that i thought was even funnier like his explanation is uh nintendo quote is still

a japanese company and refused to let mario go woke so i think there's a few things that are worthy of common here.

One is that I think it's this very emblematic of how the culture war now works and particularly

on the right, where, you know, the sentiment here is purely a reactive one.

It's literally just seems like it's all in response to it's like, well, the movie triggers
