So what's been on your mind?

Well, I had something I wanted to talk to you about.

I saw an absolute mess of a film this week, which I know you've seen as well.

And I wanted to save this until the mics were rolling, you know, so we didn't fail to commodify it.

But I saw Babylon this week.

Oh, goodness.

You know, is, right.

Which is like, you know, as I understand it, is kind of like one of these movies that's managed to be an Oscar contender despite the fact that like, I mean, it's not an, it's an Oscar contender for like the set design and the, you know, original score and stuff like that, which I still have in my head three days later.

Well, you know, the Golden Globe nominations were announced before the movie came out.

So like it was they screened it, you know, for critics and for the Hollywood foreign press who

vote on those awards.

So the Golden Globe nominations were announced.

It's, of course, nominated for everything, picture, actor, actress, everything.

Really?

And then it like, you know, tanks hard.

It becomes the biggest flop of the year.

And I just kind of enjoyed, I was looking at some of the speeches from the Golden Globes.

And I just kind of liked the, you know, Rick Disgrins of the Babylon table in the front row.

You know, these people who, these people who hitched their wagon to this complete non-start of our movie and still have to do, you know, one last

event for it.

Madeline and I also watched a good movie this week, which was Paul Verhoeven's showgirls,

which I know you've seen.
