But anyway, Biden's speech, I mean, I think perhaps suggests the Democrats have learned some strategic

lessons from recent years and from the recent midterms. They know that if you just talk about the

things that are popular and like the cost of living, if you go after corporate profits, as Biden

kind of somewhat tepidly did, then, you know, that works better than the schick that like

somebody, you know, like Hillary Clinton was sort of pushing. And to really underscore that,

I mean, if people want to watch, I don't know why you would, but the 15-minute roughly

speech that Sarah Huckabee Sanders, rising Republican star, millennial, millennial governor of Arkansas, Sarah Aga B. Sanders, she gave the Republican response to the State of the Union address.

And it is one of the weirdest things they've ever seen.

And it honestly suggests that, I don't know, Democratic strategists or, you know, the people around Biden, they seem to have some kind of understanding now of

what works for them electorally and rhetorically and messaging-wise, et cetera. And the Republicans are

still, I mean, going on this speech, the Republicans are still hell-bent on pursuing the strategy

that failed them in the midterms. Because Hockaby Sanders gives this speech that is basically

a response to a speech that Biden hasn't given. The thesis of the speech is like we represent

normalcy and people who just want to be left alone and do not want these transgressive forays into

culture, these radical experiments that liberals are so hell-bent on pursuing. There's nothing in Joe Biden's

speech about any of that. He looks like a history channel president whose favorite historian is John

Meacham and who has a John Meacham-ass understanding of American history, giving a somewhat

strategically savvy state of the union address from a position of basically total political impotence.

Like that's what the Joe Biden speech was.

Then Sarah Huckabee Sanders goes on and she's like, every day they force us to worship their totems,

their flag and perform their weird symbols and all this kind of stuff.

And it's like, what the hell are you talking about?
