Now we're going to tell you about Black Adam, a movie that I have been thinking about doing for this podcast.

For some weeks now, you know, I had high hopes for it.

Not as a movie.

I knew it would suck.

It did suck.

It does suck.

We'll get into that.

I had high hopes for it as a terrain of discussion on the Michael and us podcast because,

among other things, I am fascinated by, I don't know, just grand failures.

I think I will never stop being interested in the fact that it is possible to sink

hundreds of millions of dollars into something and have it be as bad as, you know, this movie

and plenty of other movies like it are.

But not just as bad as this movie, but have it not take off.

You know, much like Howard Hughes dumping his whole fortune into the spruce goose to get it three feet above the air.

That's right.

Yeah, I mean, this movie and our experience of it as a culture is like, yeah, the Hillary Clinton campaign of superhero movies.

Because, you know, back in 2016, we're watching Hillary Clinton run for president.

It's like, okay, well, we know this isn't good.

But in the back of, you know, the culture's head is like, okay, well, they got the polling.

Like, it's going to work, right?

It's going to work at least.
