Summary

Most often than not, as a species, we tend to react to crises rather than prevent them. For example, think of the pandemic that we’re going through. This was definitely something that we didn’t prepare for. Of course, like in any other situation, we found ways to deal with it and we’re still making progress in terms of coming up with solutions to keep everyone safe. But imagine how easier it would have been for all of us if the hospital personal had better protective equipment or the necessary medical equipment right from the get-go!

This is just one example that proves the impact prevention could have on our lives and on our safety. There are countless social situations where taking precautions would avoid potential damages – and this is true for our personal lives too.

We all know that we’re going to age and our bodies will need more help from us to keep running, so why not prepare for it when we’re still young? Why not bring a body into the older age ranges that is not overweight and that does not develop bad habits with respect to excessive alcohol use or smoking but instead benefits from exercise, adequate sleep, or healthier food.

Listen to Episode 40 of Rejuvenaging, to learn that we can take action right now to create a better, healthier, and happier second-half of our life. I discuss the importance of asking ourselves a very key question that will help us prevent the crises that may occur when we’re older, rather than react to them when it may be too late.
