You know, it may be because I had a very D.C. morning, even though, as you know, and I like to repeat, I'm an inveterate New Yorker.

And I can see that you are in your apartment by the background on the screen.

So I know you are not in D.C. I'm not in D.C. any longer.

I think our last time we were both in D.C. but not together. But later this week, we're actually

going to have a special broadcast where we will be. Not only in D.C., the same city, we will actually

be together for that recording.

Same room. But the reason I think I maybe sounds chill is the reason I had a D.C. morning

here in New York is, I woke up at the crack of dawn.

So you've been up forever.

You know, I'm still trying to find what time of day is my sweet spot because it's not the morning, but I'm not really sure when it kicks in. And the older I get, the more I'm still searching. So that... Okay. Should we say what's on our agenda? Maybe, do you think we should actually just like start the podcast? We actually were trying to figure out how to sort of stuff everything into this show because

there is a lot and there is breaking news from last night that we're going to talk about

and integrate into what we were already planning to do.

cases. We have had the first actual substantive court ruling about whether the Alien

Enemies Act applies here. Spoiler alert, the judge said, no, it does not. Applies is not the right

term. Could it be used for the deportations of members of Trendaya-Ragua as originally pursuant to the

proclamation the president issued? By the way, I was thinking of changing my language on this,

because deportation

suggests there was a process.
