Good evening once again. I am Stephanie Ruhl, and we will get to the war in Iran in just a moment,

but we start this evening with two breaking stories here at home. Near Detroit, a suspect drove a car into a synagogue,

then died in a confrontation with security there. A security guard was hurt, but is expected to recover. No one else was injured.

And in Norfolk, Virginia, a shooter killed one person and hurt

two others at Old Dominion University. FBI director Cash Patel says the suspect is dead

after students stepped in to stop him. Sources tell MS. Now the shooter is a U.S. citizen

who once pleaded guilty to trying to help ISIS. Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger confirmed.

Lieutenant Colonel Brandon Shaw was killed in the shooting. He was an ROTC instructor and was killed

in his classroom. I want to bring in MS Now investigative correspondent, Mark Tantia.

Mark, these are not good stories. Let's start in Michigan, where we're blessed, but it's horrible that this happened.

Absolutely. We heard from the Department of Homeland Security talking about the suspect. They tell us,

quote, the tragic attack on Temple Israel Synagogue in West Bloomfield, Michigan was carried out by Amin Muhammad Ghazali.

He was born in Lebanon on January 4th, 1985. He entered the

United States on May 10th, 2011. He applied for naturalization on October 20, 2015, and was granted

U.S. citizenship on February 5th, 2016. Again, that is all from DHS, the Department of Homeland
