This show will be dominated by Washington Commanders' Conversation today, in part, because

yesterday's show, Tommy and I doing the show together. We recorded the show yesterday before practice was over

and before Ron Rivera and Scott Turner had spoken. And a lot happened yesterday. I waited today

until practice was over. And by the way, Jack Del Rio spoke after practice. I'll talk a little bit about that.

But what we have developing here in the second week of preseason is a legitimate storyline, a thing.

And it's Antonio Gibson's position on this football team right now.

Yesterday in practice, I'm sure most of you know this now,

Antonio Gibson was on punt protection team.

He was running with the twos and threes on offense.

Today at practice, he was returning punts and kickoffs.

But really, as much as that was and would have on its own served as kind of a warning sign for

Antonio Gibson, it was what Ron Rivera and Scott Turner said after practice yesterday.

And I'll get to that in a moment.

But what we have now Saturday at Arrowhead against the Chiefs in the preseason,

is a legitimate preseason storyline with an incumbent big-time player.

You know, this isn't the, oh, we've got a battle between a few defensive backs,

and one of these guys is going to have to step up on teams.
