Technically, Pope Francis was Pope Francis the first. No one had ever chosen that name before,

which kind of spoke to his pontificate. Out of 266 Catholic popes in history, he was one of a kind.

Well, this weekend, close to a quarter of million people gathered at the Vatican to say

goodbye. Most funerals don't inspire applause, but people literally broke out cheering when the

coffin holding Francis's remains emerged from St. Peter's Basilica.
