Oddly enough, no mention in his final farewell address of reproductive rights or women's right to choose or to use the proper term abortion.

Given the fact that the Democrats made abortion a major issue in the last month's elections. Were you surprised that President Biden

didn't even make a vague mention of abortion in his farewell address? Yes and no. Democratic

consultants and pundits have been pretty outspoken in the last two months talking about how abortion was not the winning

issue for Democrats that they had been expecting. So it wasn't just Donald Trump, but pro-life

Republicans were elected to the Senate so that now the Republicans control the Senate. They were

able to keep the House. And I think they just realized, oh, and plus some of the states did

defeat ballot measures. So I think they kind of realized that this wasn't their magic bullet or their

silver bullet. But Joe Biden did issue a lengthy document yesterday morning talking about everything that they have done in the past four years. And he did

spend quite a bit of time on abortion in that one. My surprise is that it was kind of towards

like the bottom third of the document. So I think the Democratic Party is just saying we've got

either rework this or lay off.

Has Joe Biden always been in favor of abortion on demand for all nine months of gestation?

No. Actually, when he was in the Senate, he was considered a pro-life Democrat. He was presented with a bill on the Senate floor to amend the Hyde Amendment. The Hyde Amendment, of course, does not allow
