Summary

This past November, Latino voters helped Joe Biden win the Presidency. He had made a long list of commitments to Latinx communities, from investing in healthcare and education and creating a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants to cleaning up pollution in communities of color. Now, on the eve of Biden’s inauguration, Latino USA speaks with young Latinxs across the country whose lives would be directly impacted by these commitments.

0:54.0	Today, on the eve of President-elect Joe Biden's inauguration, we hear from Latinos and Latinas from across the country about the promises they want Biden to keep.
1:06.0	Back in November, Latina and Latino voters helped deliver the presidency to Joe Biden.
1:16.0	In key swing states like Georgia and especially Arizona, Latinx voters helped turn former red states blue.
1:24.0	And during the campaign, Biden made a long list of commitments to our communities.
1:30.0	Today, one, I'm sending to the United States Congress, an immigration bill.
1:36.0	We're going to find those kids and we're going to unite them with their parents.
1:40.0	The opening school safely will be a national priority for the Biden-Harrison Administration.
1:44.0	We're going to reverse Trump's rollbacks of 100 public health and environmental rules.
1:50.0	Biden has said he'll invest in education and health care for Latinos.
1:55.0	He said he'll stop border wall construction and that he'll work with Congress to create a path to citizenship for undocumented people.
2:02.0	Biden also said he'll crack down on pollution in communities of color and reduce incarceration.
2:08.0	So, in the lead up to the inauguration, Latino USA reached out to young Latinas and Latinos around the country to hear what promises they're hoping Biden will keep.
2:19.0	And what they want Biden to do that he hasn't committed to yet.
2:24.0	Plus, we're going to speak with these young people about how the changes they want to see would actually impact their own lives.
