The gap gets bigger.

So for a long time, our narrative has been that, oh, it's because Black people need to go

finish high school. It's because they're not educated.

Actually, that's a nice narrative and it is important that we see our educational gaps

improve. However, when you look at that stat and you see it increasing when we get up to those

individuals who have masters and doctor degrees, you tell me how that incentivizes Black children.

The world has changed immeasurably since then, but our mission has remained the same.
