Here's a little sample from one of my latest episodes.

The ship in question is 443 feet long.

The NCL Sultan, a cargo ship that apparently took the term crash course and navigation,

a bit too literally, had

veered off course and run aground, nestling itself just 16 feet from Helberg's home.

So think about that, a ship that large, that steel Leviathan, slowly gradually coming towards your

house and stopping only 16 feet away.

For Johann, though, he slept through the entire thing.

Quote, I didn't hear anything. I was sleeping seven meters from the bow.

It was lucky that it went ashore there. Five meters further south, it would have entered the bedroom.

And that wouldn't have been particularly pleasant, end quote, I would have to agree, a ship going through your bedroom,

it may be more than unpleasant, it may be deadly. While Johann wasn't awake, his neighbor was.

Jostin Jogginsen said he saw the ship coming in hot and tried to stop it the old-fashioned way.

Quote, I looked out the window and saw the boat heading straight for shore.

I went out and cawed and shouted and whistled without anything happening, end quote.

So, I mean, I appreciate the effort here, but I don't know if a ship that large is even paying attention to some random person on shore if they've gotten that far off course. There's probably other issues. So Jorgensen,

realizing that his whistling wasn't redirecting the 9,000-ton ship, ran to Helberg's house
