Hello Amelia listeners just one more week to go until we're back.

That's right we're releasing the prologue to season 5 part 3 on Friday the 14th of June.

But in the meantime we would like to introduce you to another show, a show that

Aestine discovered quite a while ago and sent me lots of excited text messages about,

until I finally caved and listened to it too.

I also loved it and so now I'm telling you about it and hope that you follow suit.

The show is called Desert Skies and it's a quirky, comedic and heartfelt sci-fi podcast

about the life between this world and the next.

The story takes place along the road of a lonely petrol station in the afterlife,

and the staff there help new arrivals get ready to embark on their journey through the Celestial Spheres.

You'll meet Tendy, the attendant, Mac the Mechanic, and a Sentinent cash register.

Much like Amelia, it begins softly, but what starts as a slice of life story following new arrivals

quickly grows into an epic tale where the stakes are life, or in this case, afterlife, and death.

If you like Midnight Burger, Futurama,

Adventure Time, or Rick and Morti,

we think you'll enjoy this show too.

For me, it hits that perfect sweet spot a mix of humor,

humanity and surreal whimsy. The full first season of Desert Skies is

available to Binge and the second one is releasing now, making this the perfect time to listen to the show.
