Winners and losers from preseason week one right now on FFT Express.

It's Adam and Jamie here on Monday, August 12th, and we're taking a look back at what we watched over the weekend.

Jamie, give me, I'm going to ask you for four winners and four losers.

Give me a winner.

I'll give you the two rookie quarterbacks.

We'll combine them into one. So Caleb Williams and Jane Daniels both look good. You know, not that there was much doubt that they would struggle, but obviously rookie quarterbacks, we know how that tends to go, but Williams, we talked about this on the full-length episode, to throw to DJ Moore. Everybody's going to look at that, but did a very nice job, you know, avoiding pressure, showing off his arm strength, getting a big third down. It was like third and 14, third and 15, something like that. And so that was fun to see 95 yards. I know you talked about this, the rushing 13 rushing yards. So hopefully that's part of his game and continues to enhance his fantasy value. Jane Daniels, two big, two plays of note, the 42-yard pass, I think it was to dami brown and the the rushing touchdown

you know so showing both sides of the upside of his game you know big arm that can throw the ball

down the field and then clearly the rushing potential which should you know put in my for me

he's going to be one of the best rushing quarterbacks this year so easy top 10 quarterback williams

just outside the top 12 you want to keep going you want to ask me some more winners no it's just funny those two are such rushing quarterbacks this year. So easy top 10 quarterback Williams just outside the top 12. You want to keep going. You want to ask me some more winners. No, it's just funny. Those two are such

different quarterbacks. It's, you know, it's the stylistically, they're so different and they're going to get it done in different ways. It was nice to see. I and when you said the two rookie quarterbacks, I thought you were going to say like Bo Nix and J.J. McCarthy,

who also showed out.

They did, you know, they really did.

And so

McCarthy really, for, I think if you're looking at from a winner standpoint, nobody's

drafting him to be a starter. Certainly if you drafted him in Superflex or Dynasty Leagues or

anything like that, you'd be excited. And I did the same thing for Donald, because I thought

he made, you know, some good

throws as well.

But really, for both those guys, the encouraging thing, and we can put him in the winning, winners category is Justin Jefferson. Because, you know, when you start to nitpick those guys at the top of the first round, what's the nitpick for Jefferson? Quarterback play, obvious. if those guys are competent, just competent.

They don't have to win games for the Vikings.
