with laker film room podcast brought to you by Indeed and BetOnline.ag. I'm Pete, joined as always by Darius and Mike. And first, let us start. I want to congratulate you, Mike. You're, according to the press release, at least, about to start your 10th year as the Lakers sideline reporter. I thought you were in like year 12 or 13. Am I wrong there or is there? What's the discrepancy there? Well, thank you. That's kind of you to say. It was not expecting us to go in that direction. So 2008 was when I came to the Lakers and started, but I was just doing, you know, Lakers.com, etc., etc., etc. And then once the main man, John Ireland, went from sideline reporter to play-by-play, I started doing sideline just. So my first year was just K-Cal Road games. Remember how it was K-KL Road? Yeah. And then Foxholm, yeah. Yeah. Yeah, so Geter did a lot of the home games and then I'm trying to remember who, who else. It was. Patrick O'Neill, was that during his days? You know, Patrick didn't do, Patrick wasn't doing Lakers sideline. He would do something. He would come in sometimes to do like pre-repost or something like that. It'll come back to me at some point. But yeah. So then that was in that spectrum, I guess at the time, it was Time Warner Cable SportsNet, right? That launched in 2012 with Dwight, with Nash, with the Sports Illustrated cover, right, with Kobe and Pows. So that was my first full year doing sideline. So that's now, yeah, so that'll be the, I guess it's the, yeah, they said, they said 10th on there, but it strikes me that it's actually, I guess that would be 10. Yeah, sorry, it's 20, yeah. So there you go. So that's the 10th full full time season now. Yeah. So I'm back. I'm back. Well, we're we're lucky to have you. And by the time this is published, it'll be a game day, right? And so in this pod, we're going to preview, it's going to be in two segments.

3:11.4

And in the first segment, we're going to talk about what we're looking forward to seeing in this preseason.

3:17.1

And I'm very much of the belief that every part of this season is going to need to have a point to it,

3:22.9

that if we're just waiting for the playoffs to come around, then that's a recipe for failure, right? And so making sure that even
