But you really drive me nuts this time of year with how lackadaisical you are about the preseason.

Sure, there were starters missing, but you had Johnny Newton on the show,

and he played against the Patriots, and he's going to play in the regular season,

if you're right about him.

The preseason sets the season

tone for team attitude and last night's game was a bad tone. I think you are too flippant

about the preseason and while wins and losses don't mean much, attitude does.

I did have Johnny Newton, by the way, on my recap podcast Friday night following the 48 to 18, 30 point loss in Foxborough.

I thought in his limited snaps, he looked quick, athletic, made the play of the night for Washington, the sack-forced fumble in the first half.

There weren't many plays to choose from in terms of positive.

But Johnny Newton did play the other night, and he is going to be, I think, a contributor and I think a good player for them this year.

It's not because of what he did, though, against New England on Friday night.
