Summary

Despite the FDA’s warning of serious side effects from taking hydroxychloroquine, the President of the United States has defended his decision to take the drug. David Holtgrave, a lead researcher in a hydroxychloroquine study, tells Anderson Cooper in their study they didn’t find a statistically significant benefit of the drug in terms of death rate or abnormal heart rhythms. Plus, Dr. Eric Topol, a cardiologist, adds that there is no sign of any efficacy by taking the anti-malaria drug but there is a sign of significant hazard.   Airdate: May 19, 2020 To learn more about how CNN protects listener privacy, visit cnn.com/privacy Learn more about your ad choices. matters except as it affects the president and his chances for reelection or even merely

0:46.6

annoys him. So today, when asked whether he has a plan to address the needs of the unemployed,

he took on bridge and instead of respecting those 36 million people and up to give a few

specifics, he focused instead on himself and how the reporter who was asking on their

behalf was allegedly treating him.

1:02.6

Why haven't you announced a plan to get 36 million unemployed Americans back to work?

1:10.5

You're overseeing historic economic despair.

1:13.0

I think we've announced a plan. We're opening up our country, just a rude person you are.

1:19.0

We're opening up our country. We're opening it up very fast. The plan is that each state

1:25.1

is opening and it's opening up very effectively. When you see the numbers, I think even you

1:32.8

will be impressed, which is pretty hard to impress you.

1:35.5

A lot of these dollars are not in the back of the country.

1:41.2

Enough of you, he said, but he had nothing actually specific to say to the 36 million

1:45.4

men and women now wondering how to support their families and themselves. He also would
