And good evening to all of you. We're continuing our breaking news coverage of the United States launching its first

airstrikes against Iranian and Iranian-backed forces in retaliation for the attack

against US forces in Jordan that killed three US service members and injured dozens.

According to the White House and Pentagon, US military forces conducted strikes on seven

facilities in Iraq and Syria tonight that officials say Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and

affiliated militias used to attack US forces. The National Security Council

spokesperson John Kirby told reporters that of the seven facilities

four are in Syria and three are in Iraq. These videos appear to show one of those

strikes earlier today in Anbar province in Western Iraq.

An Iraqi security official told NBC News that a US air strike targeted a weapons warehouse

and three houses belonging to an Iran-backed militia group that has been sanctioned by the

U.S. government.

During the roughly 30 minute attack, U.S. Central Command said military forces hit over 85

targets at those locations

with more than 125 precision munitions

including command and control centers, intelligence centers,

and weapons facilities.
