I want to deal today with a couple of myths that our society accepts about singleness and romance.

They are both false and both of them cause real damage.

The first myth is what I call the Marriage Equals Completion Myth.

This myth assumes that marriage and a nuclear family is some kind of ultimate state for mankind.

And thus, if you do not get married, or at least you do not find that special someone to spend

your life with, then you have missed out on the essential part of a full and abundant life.
