So Encounter Podcast, episode two, I just want to say this for the people who are viewing this via YouTube that it was not coordinated our outfits today.

So it just kind of happened. It just sort of happened that we're all wearing black, which I guess is appropriate because we're talking about things that are black and white, truth and deception. Come on now.

I'll start with the verse here, Ephesion 6. I'll read verses 10 through 12. And then let's hear some commentary on this. A final word,

Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on all of God's armor so that you will be

able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. Four, we are not fighting against flesh

and blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers

in this dark world, and against evil spirits in heavenly places, or in the heavenly places.

So very popular portion of scripture on the armor of God. I like to say when I need something

explain to me, explain it to me as if I'm a five-year-old. You say that to me a lot in texts.

Yes, yeah, I do. And so I think even reading the scripture, I was thinking about it as we were kind of planning the podcast out. And even for me, I overcomplicate it, right? I look at the scripture, I'm like, okay, what exactly does it mean by truth? And what exactly does it mean by peace? that's something that we can do, especially because it's such like a, it's such a popular verse when it comes to like the spiritual, spiritual realm, right? It's brought up every time you talk about demons or anything that has to do with, again, spirit. Deliverance, deception, demonic attack. Exactly. And I think, I feel like I've overcomplicated the scripture plenty of times, plenty of times, but I love the way that you said it's pretty simple, right, when you really think about it. It's a very simple concept. So on that note, when you're talking about making sure that we simplify it, I think one of the mistakes that many believers make, myself included, is sometimes we'll take our preconceived ideas and then try to fit them onto the scripture. So even in engaging with the online community in regards to this particular portion of scripture,

I noticed a lot of the questions seem to be coming from a place where there was this over complication

in terms of their perspective on this text.

So let's just break it down real simply.

Yeah.

A couple notes I have here.

When we talk about the belt of truth, it's actually describing truth.

And I know, again, to your point, people are, well, wait a minute.

Well, what exactly is meant by truth?

Just truth.
