There is a phrase that I love that I find in Charlotte Mason's writings.

It is the phrase, the art of living.

That is such a wise phrase in so many aspects.

And it especially comes to my mind as I think about launching our children into their adult

lives.

We raise them in a Charlotte Mason atmosphere in our homes. There are so many aspects to the art of living.

Let's talk with Laura Pitney, my friend, about raising our children and launching them into their adult lives.

Today we want to talk with Laura Pitney. Good morning, Laura. It's good to have you here again.

Thank you. Thank you for having me. You have launched your oldest.

I have. I have. And all of your kids are in high school now.

Yes, my youngest is 14 this year.

That's so hard to comprehend.

And I've launched three of mine.

So what we want to talk about is what that looks like and how our Charlotte Mason home schools play a part in that process. Where do you want to start?

That's a great question. And I love the idea of my children implementing things from our home

into their homes and into their lives. And so I've had a piece of that with my oldest,

of course. She recently was married, and so she is venturing into her own world right now.

And one thing that comes to my mind as you asked me that question is when I reflect back about how I raised her, what our home was like, all the outside influences, that Charlotte Mason education was a piece of the big picture.

And so when you said the art of living, that's just such a beautiful picture of all of the pieces that

have influenced Emma coming together to present her art of living.
