Good morning, gorgeous. How are you ladies doing the day? I hope that your day is going

0:17.5

fantastic whenever you're listening to this. Welcome to the Dr. Dab Show. I'm your host,

0:23.3

Dr. Michelle Dap, and I'm so grateful that you're here listening in to the podcast today.

Today's episode is really going to be focused on what took place here in L.A. the last couple of

0:34.9

weeks, we have been experiencing fires. For those of you don't know,

0:39.6

I live in Los Angeles, California, and we had a series of wildfires that broke out. And it has

0:48.2

been quite a devastation, to say the very least. So many people have lost their homes. Some people have even lost their lives.

0:56.3

This is the first time I've experienced a wildfire on this scale. It's not the first time I've had to

1:01.8

evacuate because of a wildfire, but this is the longest I've had to evacuate. And I thank God

1:26.5

And I knew in my spirit that I was safe and I was grateful for that.

1:33.4

But I also knew that there were things that I needed.

1:36.8

And in a state of panic like that, oftentimes we feel very unprepared.

1:41.5

We feel like we don't have what we need in an emergency. But that is one thing I was so grateful for was that this time around I had what I needed. And I want to make sure that you ladies are also prepared for things that can happen. We live in a world where there's just so much uncertainty. And personally, with my faith, my faith is not always in God.

2:03.5

And my certainty is that he will always keep me safe.

2:06.7

But I also need to use my wisdom that I was given to make sure that I have the tools and things that I need as much as I can to prepare in advance.

2:15.7

In this particular situation, the air quality was really horrible.

2:20.4

I would walk out of my house and smoke was in the sky. There was literally ashes falling out of the

2:26.2

sky. If you were in your car, your car was filled with ashes on the outside. And if you open your

2:32.5

door, ashes would just flow into your car like

2:35.4

that's how bad it was so you can imagine in the house how smoky it was and then there was also a
