0:38.0	finding ways to kind of put your energy towards gender in a way that isn't going to take over your life. of this world, parents are not, have a hard time with, because it can take over your entire existence.

0:58.1	So what have been some, I guess, surprising things that you've learned? I mean you've learned a lot of surprising things
1:04.2	about yourself. What are some kind of key things that you've learned through this
1:08.7	kind of crazy roller coaster journey? I think one of the things that helped me so much that I began to practice even though I hate it, um, is radical acceptance.
1:21.0	And, you know, being a nurse, I've long been a proponent of icing things that hurt,
1:29.0	because it takes down the inflammation, right? and about 90% of your pain when you hurt your
1:35.8	back is from the inflammation around the injury right it's not the injury itself
1:40.1	it's the inflammation around the injury and I view radical acceptance as ice for the soul
1:47.7	So instead of saying to myself it is not fair and it's absolutely horrible that my children left me and I'm devastated
1:58.6	and what am I going to do and instead of saying all of that, I just say, you know, today I'm not going to see my children.
2:07.4	It's a fact. It's a fact. And it's a true fact that I can't do anything about and I just leave it there.
2:15.0	Oh my God. Nothing else. There's no reason. There's no nothing else that's it it and it sounds really dumb I guess but it was really powerful to me just don't fight it
