This is Ria. Welcome to Little Stories for Tiny People. I was going about my day recently, dusting the remains of my antique teacup collection, when a thought bubbled up in my mind from unknown depths. What has old Mr. Beetle been up to?

That question followed me throughout the morning,

as I organized my seahorse print pajamas drawer

and cleaned out my things I haven't worn in forever closet.

What has old Mr. Beetle been up to?

That tiny voice in my head kept saying,

until finally I pressed the story idea alert button I installed under my writing desk.

My idea music came on at once, and I sat down on my hard metal stool

and wrote this story. That's exactly how it happened, except for a few minor details that

might have been slightly different from what I just laid out, but sometimes it helps for storytellers to be a bit dramatic, don't you think?

Let's revisit one of our favorite dramatic storytellers, Mr. Beetle, to find out what he has been up to.
