and we don't believe in gender identities. She said, oh, so you're like JK Rowling.

And I said, yes, just like her.

She knows the basics of sex and the difference between the sexes.

However, last time it came up in conversation, she told me with a strong conviction

that some people are both genders and some are neither. I sort of said something like,

not in humans or any other mammals, but I don't think she really believed me because this is something she's been taught in school and is hearing from her friends every day.

She said she's happy being a cool girl, but I'm worried that the possibility of social contagion

How should I approach this issue? Should I even bother mentioning it again? I don't want her to fall out with her friends, or for the word to get out to their parents

that I'm gender critical because I don't want her to lose these friendships.
