On December 8th, 1980 Mark David Chapman fired the bullets that killed John Lennon outside his home in New York City. His motives for doing so remain at best confusing. Was he a deranged fan? Was he emulating Holden Caulfield? To this day, no one is sure. However, Mark has a mysterious past and clandestine meetings around the world with shady figures. The possibility exists that the CIA wanted John Lennon dead and used Mark David Chapman as a Manchurian Candidate to see that goal fulfilled.
