ADVERTS DISCLAIMER:

This podcast has ads at the start of every episode. However never in the middle of a story or at the end.

Please be assured all ad blocks have been applied to ensure no over 18 or inappropriate ads are played.

However, there may be the odd occasion where an advert slips through the net because the company submitting them submits them under a category that is not correct. This happens very rarely and I do my upmost to stop this happening.

If this happens, please email me at shortstoriesforkids@gmail.com and let me know the following information: What the ad was for? What state you live in? And what episode you heard it on and I will immediately contact Spreaker to block the ad.

I take this very seriously and I really appreciate your support and co-operation.

As creators, we want your child’s experience to be a pleasurable one. Running adverts is necessary to allow us to operate, but please do consider the premium subscription service as an alternative – it’s ad free.

Charlie and the Bee People Mystery

0:11.0

Charlie had always wanted to be a detective. Not a boring kind of detective who only solved

0:19.6

who ate the last cookie cases. No, Charlie wanted to

0:24.6

uncover big conspiracies, the kind where people gasped and said, how did he figure that out?

0:32.7

So, when Charlie saw the man at the grocery store with antenna sticking out from under his baseball

0:40.0

cap, he knew something was up. The man wasn't just tall. He wasn't just wearing a bright yellow

0:48.6

shirt. He was fuzzy, like actual fuzz on his arms. And when the cashier asked if he wanted a receipt,

0:58.9

the man replied,

1:00.5

No, thank you. Charlie nearly dropped his basket of bananas.

1:07.2

A bee person, Charlie whispered to himself. From that moment, Charlie started keeping notes.

1:15.8

At the park the next day, he saw a woman pushing her kid on the swings, only she had wings

1:23.5

poking out the back of her coat. Wings! And instead of saying, wee, when her kid went high,

1:33.2

she buzzed. At the library, Charlie spotted another one. This time, a teenager flipping through

1:42.2

comic books while loudly chewing gum.

1:45.8

The teen's eyes were huge and buggy, and when the librarian shushed him, he just said,

1:52.9

"'Bz, sorry.'"

1:56.0

Charlie wrote in his notebook, they're everywhere, grocery store, park, library, next, world domination.

2:06.5

But the strangest part, everyone in town seemed completely fine with it.
