Thomas held his breath. The lion was lying on a rock, just a few centimeters away from

him, basking in pleasure.

I mustn't make any noise, or I'll be in great danger," he thought to himself, as he

snapped a few photos with his camera. Since he had moved to Africa a few years ago,

wildlife photography had become one of his hobbies. He loved to be on the steep and in the

jungle photographing all kinds of animals.

Thomas?

A shrill voice startled him. The lion must have heard it too, because all at once he stood

up and trotted away.

Oh no! Now I've missed the chance to take a good photo! Thomas was annoyed and turned

around. Who's bothering me? His voice faltered, as he noticed, three monkeys sitting opposite

him, looking at him with wide eyes.

Okay, I must have gone crazy. I can hear monkeys talking to me now.

No, you haven't heard wrong. We can talk, and we need your help.

Stunned Thomas stared at the hairy animal. A talking monkey? There's no such thing.

He muttered, trying to make sure he wasn't in some strange dream.

You are not dreaming. We understand your language and can speak it too.

Actually, we are forbidden to confine this secret to a human, but it's an emergency, and

that's why I ignored the rules.

Said the little monkey, looking nervously at the ground.
