Humans had long dreamt of going to Mars, so when they did finally arrive on the red planet

and built their first base there, there was much excitement and interest back on Earth.

Over the next few years, the Mars base was expanded upon, becoming a small colony of buildings

that housed a growing number of people. Scientists and engineers were keen to make the most

of this new world, and they pushed further and further out into the surrounding area around

the base, looking to make new discoveries as they went. And boy, did they make a discovery!

Five years after the first humans stepped on to the surface of the red planet,

a team of humans in a Mars terrain rover discovered something shocking, a crashed alien spaceship.

At first, they were afraid about what it might contain, but it soon became clear from the layers

of dust across the downed vessel that it had crashed hundreds of years before. It was agreed

that if something living had been in there, it was unlikely to still be alive now. Unfortunately,

they were both right and wrong. They were right that there was nothing living inside the

crashed spaceship, but what attacked those four Mars conelists that day wasn't alive.

Commander Darius said mission control over the radio link.

You are cleared for takeoff. Roger that replied Darius as he looked across to his co-pilot.

You ready, Cyrus? As ready as I'll ever be, Cyrus nodded. Let's go to rescue some Mars colonists.

The rescue ship blasted off from Fort Smith's spaceport and rose rapidly through the atmosphere,

watched from the ground on TV, and on people's tablets and phones across the world.

This was the most important rescue mission in the history of you.
