Hey, everybody. Welcome to this week's episode of Red Pill Your Healthcast. My name is Dr. Charlie Faganholz

0:07.6

and here with Lauren Johnson, FNP. And we're going to be talking about pregnancy this week. And this is a podcast

0:14.6

that we can really take so many different ways. And so we thought that we would just kind of outline

0:18.8

some of the most common questions people have and just have a general, a genuine general conversation on the topic of pregnancy. So let's jump right in.

0:29.7

Lauren, where do you want to start? I have some notes. Is there anything that you're called to start with or should I just start going down the list?

0:36.2

Well, I think let's talk about the basics

0:38.8

first. I think that people will jump to what should I be taking or what should I be doing,

0:47.9

what should I be buying. But also, you know, the most important thing that you can think about is the state of your nervous

0:55.9

system and like the foods that you're putting in your body and just really thinking about

1:00.6

nourishment, not like nourishing your body, nourishing your adrenals and really just being

1:07.6

mindful of your daily rhythms. That, it's a, a I mean it's a mostly free thing obviously food

1:13.7

is not free definitely not today um but it is it is something that it is we take it for granted

1:21.6

all these little things that what we say to do but they're super important um if you are waking up and immediately, and I'm guilty

1:30.8

of this too, and immediately grabbing your phone and that just gets you into the state of alert,

1:36.7

that can really affect the way the rest of the day goes. And so maybe say, okay, I'm going to

1:42.1

be super mindful of this and just start preparing my body to be able to rest more and to nourish it well.

1:51.0

Yeah, I think that that's a good starting place for this because some of the stuff we're going to talk about later in this podcast actually are prevented by what you do prior to getting pregnant.

2:02.4

And so, as Lauren said, the basics need to be in place, right?

2:06.2

You want good sunshine.

2:07.5

You want good water.

2:08.4

You want good mental space.

2:09.9

You want to be able to disconnect.
