Hello and welcome to another edition of the Nix Film School pregame show.

My name is Andrew Claudio, aka GMAC, and it's time to preview the Knicks' upcoming matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers.

In case you miss the beginning of the pregame show against the Clippers, two very big events are taking

place in Hollywood on Sunday night. First, the Knicks are taking on the Los Angeles Lakers at

Crypto.com Arena.

And then across town at the Chinese Theater, the 95th Academy Awards are going to take place. And while stars like Tom Cruise and Kate Blanchett and Michelle Yo and Brendan Frazier and this movie,

everything, everywhere all at once is probably going to make history and Hollywood

will celebrate its achievements in film and the movies.

The Knicks and, oh boy, the vibes very different than they were a week ago, the Knicks

will look to overcome what feels like a giant Will Smith smack to the vibes because Jalen Brunson is probably not going to play.

And what was so high about a week ago, for those who don't know, Adrian Wojurowski basically went on ESPN and said that what we've all been thinking, at least what I've been assuming is all the time, is that the Knicks are going to give Jalen Brunson the rest of this road trip off.

And then those three days are going to be important after the road trip.

And then you'll see him at MSG either next Saturday against Denver or you'll see him

next Monday against Minnesota.

So these Knicks that are running on fumes that have lost three straight games,

a Julius Randall who is reverting, I should say, to old habits, a team that really could use

a day off now to back to back in L.A. will look to take on a Los Angeles Lakers team that is on the come-up and eight and three

in their last 11, the number one defense since the trade deadline, a win away from 500.
