Hello and welcome to another edition of the Nicks Film School Pregame show.

My name is Andrew Claudio, aka GMAC, and it's time to preview the Knicks upcoming matchup on Friday night

against the Atlanta Hawks down in Atlanta with a players play in the home opener at State Farm

Arena for the Atlanta Hawks. Not so much of a brand new Hawks team or a new look Hawks team. Since the last

time the Knicks played them they do have

a different look because they have a different coach. Quinn Snyder, the former Utah Jazz coach is now

the coach of the Atlanta Hawks. In fact, the last time the Knicks played the Hawks and I bring

this up with my guess in just a second, but it was the last game of the Nate McMillan tenure. It was the game before the All-Star

break. Knicks had just traded for Josh Hart. The Knicks were clicking on all cylinders,

and as we remember, were on the ascent, and the Hawks looked like a team that had quit on

their coach. And in a home game that was non-competitive, the Knicks ran rough shot over the Atlanta Hawks, which forced them to reevaluate some

things over the All-Star break and get a new coach.

So first time the Knicks are playing the Hawks in the Quinn Snyder era.

They still love Trey Young.

They still love DeJante, Mary.

John Collins isn't there anymore, but Sadiq Bay now has the primary power forward position. They also have a stud named

Jalen Johnson off the bench. They're coming off a loss to the Charlotte Hornets on opening

nights, a game that I watched on Thursday afternoon. You know, sometimes you look at the box score and you can really judge

how a player performed. I got to say, Trey Young shot 4 of 19 in this game, couldn't hit a three,

couldn't hit a two for that matter, was still extremely impactful in that fourth quarter.

Did have 23 points, did have have nine assists was 14 of 15

at the line it's always going to be how he's able to still be productive on that team because he
