myself jake burns and all eyes on cle Cleveland with Brad Ward. If you paid attention to last week's episode on Sunday, we did three players we predicted. The Browns would select on the offensive side of the football of the eight picks. Now, again, we're leaving a lot of wiggle room here. They have eight picks. We're only really predicting six players here. It's a bit of a difficult game because you're trying to pick guys in different areas, right? You're not going to pick three guys. You think they're going to take at 74 and try to maybe that ups your odds. I don't know. Maybe we're going about this the wrong way, Brad. But I know when we do this, we are sort of trying to pick like an early draft, middle draft relative to the Browns, right? Because they're only starting in the middle of the draft. But some of their early picks, some of their middle picks, and some of their maybe the later picks, a little bit in between because they have a bunch of picks in a hurry. You know, between 98 and 142, what do they have, like four or five picks there? So you you get you get quite a bit. We have one, you have 98, 111, 126, 140, 142. So yeah, you have five picks in a hurry. So there's a lot of chances to kind of try to find a sweet spot for some of these players. So again, what we are trying to do is the best we can look at some of the parameters by which the Browns have pick players, combine that with some of the preferences we have for the skill that's out there that we have witnessed or have come to like it in terms of film study. And then overall trying to fit them into the Brown's roster, right? So just a fun exercise. We did last week, offense. I thought it was pretty fun. This week we're going to jump right into defense. So a little bit of a shorter episode because they're not going to go all too long here with only three prospects each side. But I think this should be fun. Defense, there's a lot of stuff that they could go after. They did really after their immediate rush of prospects that they signed in free agency, they didn't go out and really add

2:18.9

some of those lower level depth pieces. Right now, the Alwoods connection happened, haven't seen

2:23.2

that come to fruition, haven't seen them add a veteran edge. So there's like some of these pieces

2:27.3

that are lingering out there that we thought maybe they would go go get a veteran third safety.

2:33.0

It feels like they're going to wait on the draft, post draft to decide if there's some spots that they want to fill. There are a lot of different veterans still in the market and some of these prominent positions. So a lot to be determined about this roster beyond this draft. But as we look at it, we're trying to fit in. Where do we think that they would prefer to get some guys? They're certainly best player available. They're certainly pushing things off and analyzing how this draft decision would help the roster more in 24 than 23. Yeah. But there's a balancing act that goes on here. So I obviously have Brad Ward here with me crossing over. Brad, what's up, buddy? How are you tonight?

3:07.6

I'm great, man. I'm ready for the draft to be here, sir. Like, I feel like I know every one of these guys now.

3:17.1

You know what I mean? Like, it's crazy. So I did walk the mock last night. It was a lot of fun.

3:22.2

Great experience. Wild stuff. Who did you come out of that early

3:26.7

with? Give us your first three picks last night. So we took Antonio Johnson from A&M safety. He dropped.

3:38.2

So he's like the second rated safety. And he dropped all the way to 74 so we skipped

3:42.2

him up there we took zach harrison with the uh 98 and then we took uh tank bigsby at uh what is that

3:51.5

11 11 yeah that's correct so those are the top. Also, waited really late to get a receiver.

3:59.4

Took Grant Dubos, who I actually liked the more I've watched of him.
