Because the Broncos are ready for some Monday night football action coming to you.

Week one.

We're going to break it down and give our schedule predictions live from the Toyota

the DMVR Broncos podcast. Zach Stevens with Henry Chisholm, we got you here behind the camera as

well and we got our first Broncos piece of schedule news this morning. The entire schedule

drops Thursday at 6 p.m. But the NFL was kind enough to give us

how the Broncos kick off the season. And that is the Broncos playing the Chiefs on Monday night

football week one of the season. I'm so fired up for this game. Probably the most electric way to start a season.

There still remains a question with this game, though. Home or away? We'll talk about that in

just a second. But Henry, how do you feel about Broncos Chiefs to kick off the season?

Just have to hope the Holmes isn't playing. I mean, that's the big thing. I do. I mean,

the Monday night week one thing kind of sucks just because we've been through it over and over again. And that first weekend just takes forever. Like, wasn't there, like, you had the Titans one year on Monday night football, the Raiders one year on Monday night football? And then was it the Seahawks? Was it those three in a row? I think that's what it was. And they were all Monday night football to start the year. And that first weekend just drags on and on and on. And like training camp starts a couple days later and some of those sorts of things. But I mean, in terms of the Chiefs Week 1, that's when you want them, because you hope Mahomes doesn't have a knee.

Man, I love this in every way. I actually disagree. Maybe it's just for personal reasons, but when the Broncos don't play on Sunday, it means we get to watch all of the games on Sunday. When the Broncos play on Sunday, I personally don't get to watch any games outside of the Broncos. and that's totally fine, not a complaint there,

but this means that I'm going to be able to watch every single game. But also, I think as a fan who doesn't cover the team as well, I would still love this. You get to it, yeah, Sunday, you don't get the Broncos, but you get to enjoy all of that. And then, man, you finish off your week on Monday night. You see the Broncos on primetime.

I love that it's a prime time.

Now, for Sean Payton, I could see how Monday night kind of sucks in this regard because

no one has a game the week before.

So having that Monday night, that extra long week helps you not at all.

And then you are given a short week for week two. So, yeah, that does kind of stink for that purpose. But that's the only reason why this game stinks. Otherwise, I love it being Monday night football. I love it being prime time. I love that it's the Kansas City Chiefs for so many reasons. And Henry, you pointed to one of them. Will Patrick Mahomes play? I've seen that in the comments a lot. I'm approaching this is that he's

absolutely going to play, just like Bo Nix is absolutely going to play. It would be awesome if Patrick Mahomes doesn't play. But regardless, and all the reports coming out from Kansas City are that he's going to play.
