Welcome in to another episode of the PFF College Football Show, Max Chadwick, alongside Dalton Wasserman, pausing our NFL draft rankings for you guys, because what we're

going to do right now is predict the starting quarterback for every single one of the 68

power for schools. It's actually a series I did on pff.com with articles. And I kind of thought about it

for a second. I was like, listen, there are some schools where I don't even know who they're going to start at quarterbacks. So I kind of want to break it down for everyone what these schools have at quarterback. Because as we know, in today's day and age of the NIL and the transfer portal, it is so hard to keep track of which players are playing for which schools, especially at quarterback, where the carousel is

really exciting at that position. So there's a lot of brand new starters. In fact, out of these

68 schools, there are only 30 that are returning starters for next year. So there are 30, at least

38 right now, new starting quarterbacks in the Power four. And of those 38, 34 are transfers as well.

So I think this video will kind of help out a lot of people just know who is playing for where in

2026. It's always the first question that anybody asks about any team, right? Well, who's their

quarterback, right? And how good can their offense be with that guy? Well, you mentioned at the age

of the transfer portal and teams seemingly turning their fortunes around at times by just getting

one big name quarterback or even a quarterback you might not have expected to turn them around.

That really is the big news of the transfer portal cycle. First and foremost is who's everybody's

starting quarterback and then how do they build the supporting cast from there. But there's a lot of really fun names that were on the move for sure and certainly a lot of fun amongst those 30 that you mentioned that are returning starters as well. Absolutely. Yeah. Like I say like five years ago, usually the new starting quarterback for each school would be a backup quarterback that's been there for a few years. Like I said before, there's only four schools in the power 4 where I project a backup to be the new starter for them next year. It's a brand new age of college
