parimenopausal years, basically age 35 to 50-ish, who have developed symptoms that include fatigue, insomnia,

foggy thinking, low sex drive, body changes, breast tenderness, and mood changes.

These women have often been evaluated by a health care practitioner and told that all testing completed is normal and are given

no answers to address their symptoms.

It has been a blast to meet and talk with listeners and hear what they have to say about how parimenopause is affecting their lives.

A friend of mine called me a couple days ago to tell me that at her annual appointment with her PCP,

she requested that her blood sugar be checked because she had recently had a UTI and the urinalysis showed glucose or sugar in her urine.

Her PCP was hesitant to do the lab, but my friend insisted on having it checked.

She received a call from the physician's office to tell her that the lab checking the blood sugar average in the last three months,

which is an A1C, showed that she had pre-diabetes and that she should change her diet and exercise.

That was all she was told. She wasn't even given her A1C number.
