We talk about every once in a while how people in Paris, they know how to protest. Sure do. And today, June 23rd, it's no different. While it hasn't happened yet, there has been a growing movement over the water pollution levels in the Sien River. I'm probably not saying that right. I'm not French. I don't like the French French. You know, maybe it should be mispronounced. And it should be fricrous. This is a francophobic podcast. That's very true.

It's a French word. It's very polluted. Water levels are awful. And the Paris 2024 Olympics, the summer Olympics are happening in about a month now. And they're set to host open water swimming events there. The levels of water pollution here, the levels of e-coli, bad bacteria, all that and whatnot is so high. You can't swim in the river. You know what I mean? And they have, Macron has spent over $1.5 billion trying to clean it up to get it ready for the Paris Olympics. And people in France, you know, are kind of pissed. One, about the obscene amount of money being spent on this thing that should be taken care of generally. And two, that they're saying that they're going to continue with the events as scheduled. And Macron and the mayor of Paris are out there saying, no, the water's clean, actually. The water is so clean that on June 23rd, I'm going to swim in it. And so the people of France have rallied together in a

bootstrap movement, you know, a grassroots movement to say, we're going to shit in the river. Just to dirty it before their president gets in. I'm not kidding. I'm not kidding. That's so good. There's a growing movement to shit in the river. It started by some guy as a joke. Oh my God.

But now it seems like people might actually go and shit in the river.
