Colossians chapter 1, verses 9 through 14, is another one of these spirit-inspired prayers

that Paul prays for these brothers and sisters in Christ in the New Testament.

And so instead of reading these verses at the

beginning, I'm just going to kind of unpack them phrase by phrase, and then I'm going to, at the end,

just pray these words directly over you. So this is how he starts. He says, from the day we heard, we've not ceased to

pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of God's will and all spiritual

wisdom and understanding. So just think about that. Don't you want that in your life? Don't you

want to pray for that for others?

That you, that others would be filled with the knowledge of God's will, that you would have

spiritual wisdom and understanding, not worldly wisdom, not understanding based on what you

can see, but understanding based on what God sees, and that you would know His will

for your life and understand His will in the world.

So that, verse 10 says, you walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him.

Don't you want that in your life to walk in a manner worthy of God in a way that brings glory to God,

in a way that is pleasing to God?

And then he describes what that kind of life looks like.

He prays that they would bear fruit in every good work.

Don't you want that to bear fruit in your life today, to increase in the knowledge of God, that you would grow in your knowledge

of God today, that you would be strengthened with all power according to God's glorious might

for all endurance and patience with joy. That's an amazing verse. That's verse 11, that you would be

strengthened today with the power and the might
