| 0:07.0 | It was great. Good morning. How's everybody? All right. All right. So good to be with you all. If we |
| 0:26.5 | haven't met, my name is John, and I'm excited to be on staff here at Harris Creek. Yes, thank you. |
| 0:32.8 | Come on. And so I want to tell you a little story about how I got to be here. |
| 0:38.0 | So it was about three years ago. |
| 0:40.5 | I was invited by a good friend to go out to Colorado for a few days for a retreat at a camp with some pastors and business leaders from around the country. |
| 0:49.1 | My kind of thing, something I love doing. |
| 0:51.2 | I said, I'm in. |
| 0:52.8 | Get into Denver. |
| 0:53.7 | Get into my rental car, type in the |
| 0:55.9 | address of the center where we were going, three-hour drive from the airport. Now, we're all used |
| 1:02.4 | to drive into airports. We're in Waco, I get it. But, come on the other end as well, it felt a little |
| 1:07.6 | excessive. I was sure I was driving by a lot of beautiful retreat centers |
| 1:11.5 | on those three hours, had to do it. I was committed at that point. I mean, I literally was in the |
| 1:16.3 | airport, so I drove, and I got there. And when I checked in, the person at the front desk gave |

| 1:28.2 | and here are the different cabins. This was a family camp. And so they had some cabins that had |
| 1:33.6 | beds for, you know, parents and king bed, queen bed, some for kids with little twin beds. And I look, |
| 1:40.7 | and I see in the map, they put my initials, JP, and I thought, man, I noticed that |
| 1:45.7 | it was a kid room. I didn't make the cut to get into a, you know, adult-sized room, I guess. |
| 1:52.5 | And I was a little bit disappointed because that meant there's two beds. So a little bit |
| 1:57.4 | about me to be a little vulnerable here at the start. I don't, well, how do I say it? I really don't like sharing a room with strangers when I travel. I don't know if any of you can relate. It's okay if you can't. I get it. It's kind of a quirk. But it just makes me, you know, when you have little kids like I have, when you get away from that, it's so precious. You're not going to sleep well. It's going to, person's going to be weird. And I'm thinking these thoughts. And I said, you know what, John, this is a Christian retreat. You should just really have a better attitude.
