Addison Bavere joins us today to talk about his book, Words with God, trading boring, empty

prayer for real connection. And I got to tell

you, we talked with Addison when this book first came out, and we just wanted him back again

because we love him. So digging back into this book for the show prep today just reminded me

of how beautiful and deep and lyrical this book is. He like a lyricist and he's got really, really profound

and deep thoughts around prayer. I'm so excited about this conversation. Listen to what he writes here.

We live on holy ground, every bit of matter dancing for its creator. The question is, can we see

our space as sacred? When we do, we realize prayer is much more than a transaction

to be performed. It's a space we inhabit ever available to those with eyes to see, ears to hear,

mouths to ask, minds to know, and hearts to feel. The holiness of prayer requires our whole

lives because it's everything. Oh my goodness. I love that.
