Follow the way of love, an eagerly desire that gifts of the Spirit, especially prophecy.

For anyone who speaks in a tongue does not speak to people but to God.

Indeed, no one understands them. They utter mysteries by the Spirit.

But the one who prophesies speaks to people for their strengthening, encouraging and

comfort. Anyone who speaks in a tongue edifies themselves with the one who prophesies edifies

the Church. This is the Word of the Word.

So Meg joined our staff in Brooklyn a few years ago under the job title Interim Children's

Ministry Coordinator, which is code for, we need someone to fill this position but don't

really have the money for it. Well, you hold us over.

And that's how she began working with us. Six months into that.

We offered her a permanent position. She told me I'd really like to think it over.

Later she told me I actually definitely was out but I was trying to figure out a way

to let you down gently and I didn't have it quite yet. So she prayed then about it.

began to feel this tug that God was actually calling her to quit her full-time job with

upward mobility to take a part-time position as Children's Ministry Coordinator at a church

plant.

Now a decent full-time salary with benefits gets you like a shared room and a dingy apartment

with his bestest and seven cats in New York City.

A part-time position at a new nonprofit that exists exclusively on donations just absurd.

But she couldn't shake the sense that God was saying this is where I'm inviting you
